Calm elegance and joyful optimism defined Jason Wu’s approach to his New York Fashion Week F/W ‘18 runway. Inspired by the jewelry and industrial pieces of Italian designers and architects, Ettore Sottsass and Michele De Lucchi, Wu translated their works into relaxed, egalitarian styles with stunning linear silhouettes bolstered with the occasional crystal and lux hairstyles.
STEP 1:
Wash hair with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner to minimize frizz. Then spray TRESemmé Repair & Protect 7 Pre-Styling Spray to protect hair against damage and make it easier to style.
STYLE TIP: “When creating this look, focus on the front pieces of hair. You want to have a nice transition from front to back. The goal is for it to look natural, not retro” — Holli Smith, TRESemmé New York Fashion Week Stylist.
STEP 2:
Create a natural looking part (do not brush hair). Pinch the hair at the crown of the head and use small silver clips to hold for added elevation.
STEP 3:
Push the front portion of your hair forward with a wide tooth comb and use flat clips to keep in place. Leave a small amount of hair in front of your ears and tuck the rest behind your shoulders using additional flat clips to secure hair.
STEP 4:
Leave the hair clips in and dry hair using a hair dryer on the cool setting, gently scrunching hair to bring out its natural texture.
STEP 5:
Finish the look with NEW TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hair Spray Hold Level 4: Extend. Once sprayed, remove hair clips.
