    Evanie Frausto Portrait

    EVANIE FRAUSTO

Growing up in the United States as part of a conservative Mexican immigrant community, Evanie Frausto found acceptance in the camp fluidity of the myspace emo scene. Full of exaggerated beauty, he could be unapologetically himself, favoring exaggerated and rebellious looks opposite of the norm.

Based in New York, he began his career training under the celebrated hairstylist, Jimmy Paul. During his apprenticeship, Frausto was present on some of the most prominent fashion and beauty shoots. He has since become established in his own right, earning recognition for rethinking possibilities for self-expression and beauty. This has led him to work regularly with publications such as vogue us, perfect magazine, The Travel Almanac, Dazed, Document Journal, Garage Magazine, V Magazine, Vogue Italia, and WSJ, among others.

He has shot covers with Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Grimes, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Petra Collins, Joan Smalls, and campaigns for Heavn by Marc Jacobs, Barragan, Fenty Beauty, Mac, Estée Lauder, Nike, Glossier, and Miss Sixty.

He hopes that through his work, hair will start being recognized as an art form in its own right.
